life through the lens #4

The beautiful array of dresses at Podie Pie!  I hogged the change-room the whole time I was there...

I'm alive! Just imagine a girl emerging from the rubble of a volcanic explosion and you've hit the nail on the head. I am half way through my first exam week of my last year of high school and I feel as though my academic soul has been ravaged. Aside from the purple under my eyes and the "close-to-falling-asleep" status in class, I'm doing okay. I thought I would just give you all a quick update on what life is like lately... At the weekend, one of my closest friends, Ruby, and I went thrift shopping and had lunch together. I picked up a pretty black dress and a green anorak for less than the price of a loaf of bread so I was quite pleased with myself. I think I might go back again for a thriftual (hehe, see what I did there...) this weekend, Winter is creeping up (the nights are getting cooler), and I'm in desperate need of a nice pair of jeans! On Sunday I spent the day "studying" with a few friends; which mostly consisted of consuming cake and gossiping.

Beautiful flowers at the grocery store // Found my pearl cat ear headband after I thought I lost it! Expect it to be featured in an outfit post very soon

My ten year old sister made this apple pie all by herself! It was absolutely perfect // Trying out different makeup looks for the cooler months - raspberry lips and a bit of bronzer to give my complexion a colourful glow!

The holidays are going to be such a lovely break. Although I still have two projects that I need to finish before we go back to school at the end of April (read Nineteen Eighty Four by George Orwell and analyse the Stepford Wives), I can't wait to celebrate Easter with my family, attend my Aunty's wedding and sleep in a little more than usual. Speaking of the wedding, I finally picked out a dress for it! It's from the same shop all of those dresses pictured above is from (Podie Pie). It's got a beautiful boat neck and has light blue and white polka dots and hits just below the knee. It's very fifties inspired and I think a pair of white kitten heels will look perfect.
I hope you're all having a lovely week, and stay tuned for a new post that is coming up within the next few days, all about my blogging lifestyle! xo

The day before I got my eyebrows plucked! Man they were caterpillar-y. Haha! // My current journal has a front cover that says "Paris is always a good idea". Can it get any more perfect?

So, I had a bit of a rave about this mug a few weeks ago. Basically, it has improved my quality of life. It's just a magical mug and it was only a $1 at an op-shop and I drink tea from it every morning. Best. Purchase. Ever // Autumn skies are really beautiful at dusk...

Ahh you're so close to the end! The holidays should be a really lovely break. I cant wait for the easter break too, although I just get a week off. Even so, it will be a blessing.

I love the makeup look! I am so excited for winter, and would like to sport some darker lips. The dress for your Aunty's wedding sounds wonderful! And the shop you bought it from looks full of treasures

Gorgeous photos as always! You'll have to post photos of the dress you wear to the wedding.

It was great talking to you tonight too. We'll have to do it again when you're on holiday. Good luck for the rest of this week.
