an enchanted tea party

come to my tea party
I found this collar set image on tumblr the other day and loved it! It's so pretty and reminded me so much of the beautiful costumes in Marie Antoinette, the movie. Moving images and snippets from the film seem quite popular in my feed too. Can you believe I still haven't seen the movie?
Anyway, don't you love those weekend mornings that consist of scrolling endlessly through blogs and drinking a yummy brew of some sort? That's what I did this morning, then this afternoon Izzy and I were re-united after 7 long weeks! She has been in America and I missed her a lot! We exchanged sweet gifts (fairy lights, notepad and flower wreath for her and some OPI polishes, delicious body lotion and other American delights for me!) and filled each other in on the happenings of our holidays.

I also thought of the coolest thing! I looked at the archive of my tumblr and it's just a mesmerizing collage of beautiful images. I wish I could print out the entire thing and use it as wallpaper for my room! I'd be inspired everywhere I look, yay ♥
Tomorrow I'm going to attempt macarons for the second time... I'm hoping they will look a little less sloppy than my last batch (which were still delicious). I'm off to go read Summerhill Secrets by Beverly Lewis and make some camomile tea. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You must see Marie antoinette ASAP! I know that you would love it. And okay, so it's not really historically correct, but the whimsical aesthetic of the film (scenery, architecture, dresses and food) is enough to have you falling head over heals in love with it!

Good luck for your second batch of macarons!

xx Carina

I love the idea of having wallpaper made out of lots of beautiful images. Good luck baking your macarons, I haven't been brave enough to try yet.

Hey!
I'd love it if you would take a minute to check out my temporary online boutique, which is also an extension of my blog. ShopSIS features items from my wardrobe, and items I've bought which I'm selling for an extremely low price! I've also added a deal; buy two items and get one more cheaper one free! I'd really appreciate your support on this, thanks so much! ♥

Oh, such a sweet post Maria!! <3 Don't feel bad because I've actually never seen Maria Antoinette either which shocks people! Shucks, if we weren't in two different parts of the world we could watch it together... :(

Anyways, I totally agree with you saying that the best mornings are going through my blog roll and sipping on a hot drink! Ahh, I wish every day could like that <3

Thank you for your comment Maria! I know what you mean, I still want more holidays, am dreading the boring never changing cycle of school life! Sigh. Oh I detest school sports days too in this heat. In response to your question, the butterflies aren't mine, but apart of the Perth museum. They are my favorite exhibite!

Have a wonderful week.
