Lee denim jacket, Forever New skirt, Asos blouse, Converse shoes

You wouldn't believe that it's officially Winter here in Australia due to the balmy lunchtime temperatures, the vibrant colours of flora and the humidity in the air. I'm disappointed! Bring on the temperatures under ten degrees! I didn't buy a pink pom-pom beanie and stock up on winter socks and hot chocolate for the sake of it!
How have you been? My life has been quite the roller coaster (just like Ronan Keating describes it in his song) lately. I'm not sure where to start with this post... so I'll share with you a few good things about this week and what's coming up!
  • On Saturday I'm finally seeing The Fault in Our Stars with my friend Abbey! I read the book a couple of months ago and although I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would, it's still a clever, beautiful story and I am excited about seeing it in film. Augustus Waters is quite stunning, I dare say.
  • I'm going formal/prom dress shopping with my mum's friend on the first Monday of the holidays! She's going to make my dress and I'm so excited about what it's going to look like. Graduation night is just over five months away but it's never too early!
  • You know that overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when you finish a huge assignment? That's how I feel right now about Geography. My field report for our Fraser excursion is SO GOOD and I am SO PROUD of my efforts. Thank you.
  • It's June! It's Winter! It's also less than five months until I graduate and am free of my high school chains! I love school (a lot) but I'm also excited about my future and what it has to hold.
I hope you all have a riproaring good time for the rest of this week!

Dress c/o BeBop clothing, gifted boater hat, Kmart platforms, bag c/o Chicnova, Max Factor lipstick in 'English Rose'

Happy Monday everyone! Hopefully the start to your week was excellent! Today I decided to style up this dress from BeBop with this gorgeous, vintage kiss-lock bag from ChicNova. I was really surprised with the quality of the bag as many of the bags I have received from similar online stores are pretty but aren't the most wonderful quality. This one, however, is an exception! The leather is really soft and it's the perfect size for shopping or taking to school during exam time when I don't need anything too big. This dress has also been a great addition to my wardrobe. It's light, very cute and girlie and will be perfect for the summer time. I think it's still available here if you'd like to take a closer peek. :)

Can you notice the colour in the photos?! Oh my gosh, I feel like Spring is already upon us! The weather has been absolutely beautiful lately - I'm not a beach person and I have been dying to go have a swim. I'm so excited for the warm change, I've had enough of winter and I think my skin has too (ugh, does anyone else deal with annoying dry patches?!).
I hope you have a great week and I'll talk to you all soon! Lots of love xo

Denim Bliss

What do you think of my ‘new’ denim dress? I bought it yesterday form the Salvation Army for only $3.50! It’s so perfect for spring and I can’t wait to buy some cute floral wedges to go with it! Yesterday was truly fabulous, my family and I headed out for lovely picnic in the sunshine, just loving the cool winters-almost-over breeze. We then went to a few op-shops in search of some books and videos (our DVD player broke) and I found (in utter excitement) a denim dress! I've been looking for one everywhere, and I'm so happy because now I don't have to save faithfully for the Forever New version (that was way out of my price range!). What's not the love about op-shops?
Anyway, I will never be brave enough to wear denim on denim (which is close to impossible to pull off!), so I think I'll just stick to one piece of denim per outfit. I love the picture to the right with that gorgeous dress, extra extra volume and ruffles, caught my eye. I love how she wears it with such adorable shoes! I don't think I'm brave enough to wear shoes that high though, oh well, a girl can only dream...
