How cute are the hair accessories from Kani's etsy?

This is a very plain Polyvore I know, but I'm at loss for inspiration! Having to complete comprehension booklets, learn about different religions and study indices isn't exactly ideal for an aspiring fashion writer constantly on the hunt for inspiration. Oh well, the week is nearly over and I have an exciting girls-night-in to look forward to with Izzy! I'm talking Clueless, girly magazines like Teen Vogue and Seventeen, delicious food and the latest gossip.

As well as all that, I completed my purple dress in sewing class and it turned out very nice. However, I've decided to make the drastic choice of chopping off the top of it and altering it into a midi-skirt because the sleeveless design and low neckline are rather unflattering (I guess you could say the Polyvore is a few little things that would go nicely with the dress-about-to-be-turned-skirt). Wish me luck!

Hopefully an outfit post will be up on the weekend, all depending on the weather!

Polka dot and floral bow bandeau set, $70.00
I've solved your swimsuit dilemma (well, if your a vintage loving, floral coveting, bikini wearer). Amourouse, a little etsy boutique with made-to-order lingerie and swimwear is selling these precious bikinis. Unlike any other I've seen (I'm so used to seeing skimpy little numbers in the swimwear stores!) and are at a very reasonable price for the cutest swimmers around. I fell head over heels for the green and floral ones, so pretty!
The passed for days have been very busy, on Saturday my sisters and Mum went to a local 'Swap Party'. We had to bring in old clothing, bric-a-brac, books etc. that would be exchanged for another person's unwanted items. It was wonderful, not only did I feel very environmentally friendly, but I scored half a wardrobe! I picked up some gorgeous things from Sportsgirl, Sass, Target etc and was so happy because it was all free! (Outfit post coming up soon)

I hope the rest of your week is just lovely!

Feeling nostalgic for Nardinoo

Introducing my new obsession; Nadinoo. The British brand has captured the hearts of many Twiggy loving, brogue-wearing, quirky styled ladies, and I am now definitely one of them. Aren't the dresses just adorable?
I love the cute, home-made look of all the clothes and many of them look really versatile too. The dresses in the polyvore would all go well with the tan-toned brogues and bag I picked out. The ideal outfit to wear to a picnic by a lake. Don't forget to bring along an exciting novel, some raspberry jam sandwiches and a gingham print basket!

Um, completely and utterly adorable! I love the bow tying at the front of each outfit.
I actually just got back from an outing at the little forest a few minutes away from where I live. The lake is very magical and we thought naming it 'the fairy forest' was entirely appropriate. The waterfalls were really pretty despite the overall feeling of eeriness. I couldn't help but think of Joan Lindsey's haunting tale of the girls who went missing at Hanging Rock in New South Wales. The structure of the waterfall was weirdly similar to that of Hanging Rock.

Before I jet off, I just had to share the charming Etsy stores I have discovered on my quest for vintage;
  • someUnderground Vintage. Her prices are very reasonable and she has a lovely selection of vintage that would tickle the fancy of any thrifty chick.
  • Raindrops on Rust Vintage. Her clothing looks like it was stolen from a Dolls House!
  • The Wild Bunches. My personal favorite from this store would have to be the The Lady of the Camellias Dress, who can resist a Madeleine-esque print and bows at the hips?
I hope you find something wonderful! And, have a fabulous weekend! xx
