Emerson sweater, Asos skirt, Miss Shop boots, gifted boater hat, necklace c/o Oasap

Well, it's officially Winter here in Australia and it still hasn't quite sunk in. How on earth are we already half way through the year?! It hasn't been too cold over the last few days, but it's still perfect sweater weather. My weekend was quite relaxing; my friend Ruby and I had a sleepover, ate pizza and fought off an early-morning grasshopper that interrupted our lavish breakfast. The gardener trimmed the hedges so now the silly old things have been pouncing on us unexpectedly! I nearly ate one on Saturday morning! It dived into my breakfast as if it were its own!
Sunday was very lazy. After Ruby headed home I watched Little Women, had rooibos tea and macadamia cookies and tried to read the novel we are studying for English. If you are having trouble sleeping, I highly recommend reading The Secret River by Kate Grenville... I was snoring by 8 o'clock.
I hope you had an excellent Monday! Mine was great apart from being on the verge of a colossal sneeze all day (which finally erupted during period six!). xo

This is the dress. You know? The one I ranted on an on about late last year in lead up to the dance? I took these pictures at summer's peak (mid January) and completely forgot about them. It was quite lucky to find them on my old memory card because the weather has been completely ridiculous here lately and I've been drowning in homework which means no chance of outfit pictures. I'm really excited though because I turn the big 1 - 6 (OK, fine, it's not that old) in five days! I don't know what it is about being 16, but it's just such an important age of me. :)
Anyway, doesn't it look so summery and lovely in these pictures?! It's completely different right now though; very chilly (I'm even wearing a sweater!) and perfect tea and movie watching weather. I've also been looking at a few online stores recently too in search of wintery things for my wardrobe. I really like the collection of Ugg Australia they have at Number Eight Clothing... especially these gorgeous gloves. They would look so fancy with a trench and some red lipstick! Hope you're all having a great week so far, I'm off to relax after a homework filled afternoon and watch the latest episode of the Carrie Diaries. Bliss. xo

Floral blouse c/o Sheinside, Asos skirt, bag c/o Oasap, ring c/o Oasap, Australis lipstick in 'Cha-Cha'

I hadn't received a sponsored item in a little while so I was absolutely giddy with excitement when two packages arrived in the mail both from Sheinside and Oasap. I am so delighted and happy with the things that were sent. I might start with this beauty of a blouse! I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and fit of this top and find it's such a unique, elegant piece that is perfect for my growing winter wardrobe (I'm preparing for the cooler months early!). I paired it with the cutest satchel ever (the red goes perfectly with the photographic floral print on the blouse) and the snazziest lil' ring you've ever seen!

Anyway, how have you all been? Senior is kinda scary, hectic.... and overwhelming. All I can think about is getting good grades but some wise words were shared with me on Saturday (thanks, Tom!), "don't ever give up your passion". It's very true because I honestly think that this blog contributes to my sanity. Whenever I feel like I am going mental I always have my favourite hobby in the entire world to fall back on.
It's mostly thanks to each and every one of you who read my blog. I appreciate it more than I can fathom.
